Today we presented our final cut of the documentary and have received feedback from the tutors. Overall the documentary went well but is not without its flaws. Some things specific to me included the sound levels from interview fluctuating however this was edited like that to compensate from otherwise unusable interviews. It may also be important to point out that the interviews and sound that were not of

Sound edit
Although the rest of my group went back to Liverpool to record the Friday Fling I was unable to attend due to work commitments. I have since then been given some interviews recorded by others on the Friday and have been handed to me with the request that they be cleaned up in soundtrack pro.

Filming
We have successfully filmed both on both of the shooting day set up by the university; the filming went well with me able to film without any major problems and a great interview was recorded with me on sound. As well as that interview I was able to record several ambient sounds on a mirantz to be used in shots that need better sound. I also recorded two sound only interviews with our contributor Liz, these interviews talked about the specifics of the bomb that hit the church her discussing a art installation within the church about how man has become dependent in the car to survive and effectively worships it to some extent.

Pitch
We have pitched our idea to Debbie, We told her that the documentary would be about the band with the bombed out church as a framing device for the whole piece. Debbie seemed optimistic about the idea and told us that was important to keep in contact with our contributer Liz. Debbie also told us to make sure we were fully prepared for filming the Friday Fling which would take place outside the 2 regular days of filming the university has set up.

Ideas Discussion
Today we got together and discussed any ideas we may have for the documentary. However eventually it was decided that the best and most interesting idea is about a band from Liverpool called Urban Strawberry Lunch. This band is interesting and a good topic for our documentary because firstly all their instruments are made out of junk or objects that most people would not consider making an instrument out of. And secondly they perform their gigs in a old church that was bombed in the war and has been restructured to be usable without a roof and so looks very interesting to lookm at. The potential for an interesting subject combined with a potential for great camera shots and sound recordings has meant that this is our selected idea.
